RBI Grade B Recruitment 2023 Out for 291 Grade B Posts: Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released RBI Grade B Notification 2023 on 26th April 2023 for various posts including Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR) – (General), Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR) – DEPR, and Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR) – DSIM.
RBI conducts RBI Grade B Officer Exam for the selection of eligible graduates for the position of Grade B officer in its various branches all across the country.
RBI Grade B 2023 exam has a three-phase selection process- Phase 1, Phase 2 and Interview.

RBI Grade B Recruitment 2023 Salary
Candidates selected for the RBI Grade B posts will get a monthly salary as scheduled by the Government. Check the salary details in the below table. Other allowances will be applicable as per Government rules.

Apart from the Basic Pay, the selected officers will be eligible for Dearness Allowance, HRA and other allowances as permitted by the rules in vogue.
The Pay Scale for the RBI Grade B Officer is Rs. 55,200-2850(9)-80850-EB-2850(2)-86550-3300(4)-99750(16 years). This means that you will be having basic pay of Rs. 55,200/- in which you will get an increment of Rs. 2850/- up till nine years of your service.
After the completion of nine years, you will get into the executive band wherein the basic pay will be Rs. 80850/- and then again for the next two years you will get an increment of Rs. 2850/- and further an increment of Rs. 3300/- for the following 4 years
RBI Grade B Recruitment 2023 Eligibility: Educational Qualifications
Educational Qualification:
1. RBI Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR) – (General)
- Graduation in any discipline / Equivalent technical or professional qualification with minimum 60% marks (50% for SC / ST / PwBD applicants) or
- Post-Graduation / Equivalent technical qualification with minimum 55% marks (pass marks for SC / ST / PwBD applicants) in aggregate of all semesters / years.
2. RBI Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR) – DEPR
- A Master’s Degree in Economics / Econometrics / Quantitative Economics / Mathematical Economics / Integrated Economics Course/ Finance (minimum of 55% marks) or an equivalent grade OR
- PGDM / MBA Finance with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade from a recognised Indian or Foreign University / Institute OR
- Master’s Degree in Economics in any of the sub-categories of economics i.e. agricultural / business / developmental / applied, etc., with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade.
3. RBI Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR) – DSIM
- A Master’s Degree in Statistics / Mathematical Statistics / Mathematical Economics / Econometrics / Statistics & Informatics from IIT-Kharagpur / Applied Statistics & Informatics from IIT-Bombay with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade OR
- Master’s Degree in Mathematics with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade and one year post graduate diploma in Statistics or related subjects from an Institute of repute; OR
- M. Stat. Degree of Indian Statistical Institute with a minimum of 55% marks OR
- Post Graduate Diploma in Business Analytics (PGDBA) jointly offered by ISI Kolkata, IIT Kharagpur and IIM Calcutta with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade.
Note: SC, ST and PwBD candidates having second class with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade are eligible.
RBI Grade B Recruitment 2023 Eligibility: Age Limit
RBI has defined minimum age criteria for appearing in the RBI Officer (Grade ‘B’) examination. Candidates are required to be aged between 21 years and 30 years (both age included) to apply for RBI Grade B exam 2023. For candidates possessing M.Phil. and Ph.D. qualifications, the upper age limit will be 32 and 34 years respectively.

Candidates are required to clear all three phases in order to get a confirmed post as a Grade B Officer in the Reserve Bank of India.
RBI Grade B Prelims Exam Pattern
The prelims exam of RBI Grade-B Officer 2023 comprises a single Paper for 200 marks. A total time of 120 minutes will be given for answering. However, separate time will be allotted for each test.
