NTPC Recruitment 2023 Age Limit
- The upper age limit of applicants for NTPC Mining Recruitment should not be more than 25 Years.
The category-wise relaxation in upper age will be applicable as under:
- OBC – 3 Years
- SC/ST – 5 Years
- Land Oustee – 5 Years
The Upper Age Limit is 25 Years as on last date of online submission of Application at careers.ntpc.co.in portal for General (UR) & EWS category candidates.
Category-wise relaxation in Upper Age Limit is as mentioned below:
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) – 3 Years
- SC I ST – 5 Years
- Land Oustee – 5 years
Relaxation for Ex-Servicemen (ESM) category candidates is as per extant Govt. of India guidelines.
NTPC Mining Recruitment 2023 Selection Process
The selection process of NTPC Mining Recruitment includes the following stages:
- Written Exam
- Skill Test/Trade Test
- Document Verification
- Medical Examination
Eligible candidates will have to undergo a Written Test followed by a Skill/ Competency Test, as detailed below:
1st Stage: Written Test: In first stage, a Written Test of Total 100 marks, comprising of multiple-choice questions, covering relevant subject/ discipline, will be conducted. The duration of the Test will be between 1 to 2 hours. Each question will carry equal marks and negative marks will be deducted for wrong answer. The qualifying marks are: 40% marks in case of General/EWS category and 30% in case of SC/ST/OBC candidates. The candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of merit at an approved call ratio for 2nd stage Test.
2nd Stage: Skill / Competency Test: In 2nd stage, a Skill / Competency Test of total 100 marks in respective discipline will be conducted. The qualifying marks are 40% marks in case of General/EWS category and 30% in case of SC/ST/OBC candidates.
The candidates shall be selected on the basis of the merit in the Written Test, subject to the condition that the candidate qualifies in the Skill / Competence Test.
Test Center: Both the 1st and 2nd Stage Tests shall be conducted at Test Centres in Ranchi, Jharkhand. The address of the venue will be notified through the admit card
NTPC Mining Recruitment 2023 Salary
Candidates selected under NTPC Mining Recruitment 2023 will get the emoluments and compensation as under:

Monthly emoluments and compensation:
- Consolidated fixed monthly pay of INR 50,000/- for all trades except Mining Sirdar.
- Consolidated fixed monthly pay of INR 40,000/- for Mining Sirdar
In addition, medical facilities for self, spouse & two children and HRA/company accommodation (subject to availability) shall be provided as per Company Rules. On official tour, the company will reimburse TA/DA, as applicable.
Duration: 03 years (01 + 02 years extendable). The period of engagement is based on organizational requirement and satisfactory performance.

HOW TO APPLY for NTPC Mining Recruitment 2023
Interested candidates should log on to our website careers.ntpc.co.in or visit careers section at www.ntpc.co.in for applying. No other means/ mode of application shall be accepted. Candidates are required to possess a valid email ID.
NTPC will not be responsible for bouncing back of any email sent to the candidates. Candidate belonging to General/EWS/OBC category are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs. 300/-. The SC/ST/XSM category/Land oustee & female candidates need not pay the application fee.
Payment in offline mode: State Bank of India has been authorized to collect the application fee, in a specially opened account (Ale No. 30987919993) at GAG branch, New Delhi (Code: 09996), on behalf of NTPC. Candidate has to approach the nearby SBI branch with a printout of the “pay-in-slip” which is available on the application portal.
The pay-in-slip printed from the portal should only be used for depositing the fee for proper crediting of amount in the located account. On receipt of the money, the bank will issue a unique Journal Number and a Branch Code of the bank collecting the money.
This journal number and the branch code are to be filled up by the candidate during online application. NTPC will not be responsible, in case a candidate deposits the fee in wrong account.
Payment in online mode: Candidates also have the option to pay the fees online (through Net banking / Debit Card (Rupay Debit Cards Only) / Credit Card). The online payment option will be available in the online application form.
Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances. Candidates are therefore requested to verify their eligibility criteria before paying the application fee.
After applying online, candidate is required to download the application slip generated by the system with unique application number. Copy of application slip may be retained by the candidate for future reference. No document is required to be sent to us by post.
